Herna joined Rutherford Rede in 2018 after 7 years in the Financial Planning industry in South Africa. She completed the New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services in 2021. Herna has a dual role in Rutherford Rede, serving our office as General Manager and assisting our clients in her role as a Financial Adviser.  She continues to create and develop financial planning policies and processes and streamline internal processes.  

In the 5 years, Herna has been in New Zealand her family has grown by two. She married her husband Simon in 2021 and happily added a baby boy to the family at the end of 2022.  When Herna’s not providing exceptional client and operational service, she enjoys spending time exploring the outdoors with her family.
