IN THE COMMUNITY

At Rutherford Rede, we believe in giving back to the community. We actively contribute to both our local and national community and support a range of charities.

We have a long history (over 20 years) of working with Dementia New Zealand. We recognise the benefit to both the family and the person with dementia of having a plan for your finances and offer voluntary consultancy to newly diagnosed dementia sufferers.

Jocelyn Weatherall is Chair of Dementia New Zealand, Dementia Auckland, Dementia Waikato and Dementia Lakes. Jocelyn is also a Director of the Dementia Auckland Foundation alongside Patrick Fogarty.

We support First Foundation to assist academically talented students achieve their potential through tertiary education and to prepare them to positively influence and benefit their communities.

Henry Ford is Chair of Macular Degeneration New Zealand. Their mission is to reduce the incidence and lower the impact of macular degeneration – the leading cause of blindness in New Zealand – has on sufferers.

Henry Ford is a member of the Parnell Rotary Club where he has served in many roles including President. Members are business and professional leaders who volunteer and carry out humanitarian projects to address issues such as poverty, health, hunger, education and the environment.
